a photowalk with my son.

both shots were from the RIV+Nifty Fifty

the second one was at 102,400 ISO, the full moon helps with some directional light.

This thing is huge!

I do NOT like the lenscoat but I will continue to use it. It just doesnt fit the way I thought.

First shot last night...... I like it. Going birding tomorrow morning.

After slinging it around tomorrow, you'll appreciate the weight of the FE 100-400GM even more. That extra 200mm of the FE 200-600 lens sure is nice though.

It's Friday, it's hot, and many of us are stuck at home. Margarita anyone?

I thought Fuji does that already.

Thanks, I missed that somehow.
Quite embarrassing, as I own an X100S
(I bought a well worn X100S cheap, not like I paid for a new one without researching features.)

It's all relative. A friend has the Canon 400 2.8 L IS. At 5.4kg, it makes the Sony 200-600's 2.1kg seem like a featherweight.
I really like that Sony made it an internal zoom. There will be times where the extra length is inconvenient.
The light action and short throw of the zoom ring though will always be appreciated.
I also like that in just a light drizzle, the resulting wet extended barrel (of an external zoom) is a nuisance. I can't bring myself to retract a wet barrel. No problem with the Sony.

Wow, I saw the 2nd image and thought that it didn't look so great. Then read ISO 102,400. OK, so Sony Night Vision is quite good.

Thank you. He's more into filming but loves to shoot stills too from time to time.

he just won on one of his entry to short film

Super hot here also. I was working late till now. Had to ask the wife to make some lemonade but she didn't have ice (ice maker was off as last time making too much noise) so she put some frozen blue berries. Then I found the bottle of tequila.:

I was thinking Canon 24mm TSE II lens but couldn't decide quick enough between it and Fuji GF 23mm f4. So GF 23mm f4 is coming.:) Problem nothing there to shoot. I may still get 24mm TSE. It is shame neither Sony nor Fuji have any TSE lenses.
