Yellow-throated Honeyeater
Endemic to Tasmania and some surrounding islands
A pear was past its used by date so I put it outside on an old crate and immediately this beauty descended on it and gorged itself

The "Green Jackets" or Yellow Throats are my nemesis, they are relatively common around here but hard to photograph. The Crescent is a bit more accommodating.

Nah, everyone will want to come to the Territory. No Covid 19 here and it's WARM! :)

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Cheers

Dennis

PS - a stack of 2 separate frames combined to give a composition, with the best bird from each frame.

It was quite a busy morning at the bird bath in our back garden, the Rainbow Lorikeets were in a good old frolicking mood.:-)

The one on the left came crashing in, hit the incumbent on the nose and a bit of a stand off ensued.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Dennis those clowns are so pretty.
I can imagine watching those for hours and never tiring of their antics.

The Butcher Birds have been around again and giving us a cheerful singsong

Juvenile with its 'catch' - a Banksia cone
