Thank you for your reply Ray.

I really enjoy the fact that I have so many choices of settings with the 7DII. I customize mine for the main setting I most commonly use, and then save these settings as custom shooting modes on C1, C2, and C3. For example, C1 is set for static shots, using aperture priority. C2 is set for birds in flight in manual mode. C3 is set up for bracket shooting in manual mode. These three custom shooting modes allow me to get the correct setting I need very quickly, since I have them already preset.

I honestly feel that for the price, the 7DII is one of the top bird shooting cameras because of it's ability to be customized so completely to the desires of the photographer. I surely do like mine.

Thanks Mike, I think the 7DII is reasonable bang for your buck.
I mustn’t be lazy so I will try your settings later, but I seemed to get the desired results right out of the box.
And as an added bonus I like the GPS ability when needed.

The Sony A7R4 and that 2.8 lens are a great combo. Excellent shot.

another shot of a local kookaburra that comes in for a feed every now and then. Problem is neighbors are feeding him scraps which is not good for his diet.

Beautiful shot. I never noticed that they have so much color.

Congrats on the new bird. A tough one to get. We have them around her, but for some reason I've had better luck with Soras.

Hi Clipper...

Beautiful bird and even better photography. Wonderful feather detail to show off the bird's subtle coloring.
