My Amscope 10X arrived today. I know it's not the sharpest 10X out there & doesn't compare to it's little brother, the 4X, but it was only $35 bucks & don't really want to fool around with an infinity lens (at least not yet;-)a). Being finite like the 4X, I just took it off and put on the 10X leaving the set up the same.

Then I thought for fun I'd extend the bellows the entire way (they are barely extended when set to recommended distance, 160mm) just to see what crazy magnification I'd get. Well, I don't know a number but it's a lot!! This is a US dime again. Along the left side of the front is the word "LIBERTY" & this a shot of a fraction of ONE of these letters!! Not extremely sharp at this magnification but fun to play. This is 3 or 4 images as the DOF is about a sheet of paper (pure guess). If you want to get any kind of serious about this kind of shooting you will definitely have to invest in a motorized stepping rail.

I'd say you have the technique down pretty well. Great photos Noah.
