Yep, triple Weber dual throats bolted to a 265 ci Hemi 6, a seriously powerful machine in its day, pity the steering, brakes, suspension and handling let it down. ;-)a

What vintage?

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Early 70's, the big six was more popular and powerful than the 8 cylinder version (318 Fireball)

I also wouldn't call that a snapshot pic. Clearly belongs in that other thread for stationary auto portraits. And BTW,... good job!

EDIT: Doh! OK, I was just in the other thread and I see you posted it in there too.

Wow, that seems crazy-low.

This is a small lake at Disney Springs in FL, they have quite a few Amphicars there that you can take rides in as part of a dinner package at one of the restaurants. I've never seen one of these sitting that low in the water, they always seem to be floating around this height.

A very old mate of mine once crossed from Dover to France in a VW Beetle. A proper one, not the so called thing that have the cheek to bear the name now. The only mod on it was a prop.

He made it OK but didn't return by the same method.

That Amphicar was a strange machine!
