I think this is a Philodromus species, not a crab spider, Jmac. Nice pic, though, no matter what the species :)

And bizarrely. here IS a crab spider, from under the spa today as I did some spring-cleaning on the terrace. It's a Xysticus species, perhaps luctator or kochi. A good looking young lady, indeed.

Our first Saitis barpipes of the year dropped in through the kitchen window today (probably to escape the cold). We always seems that we have a nest of them each year in the window-frame, and it looks as though the juveniles are starting to stretch their legs....appropriate for the first walk after the pandemic lockdown....I feel this may be the start of summer proper, now. They're quite a small spider, maybe 4-5mm, but very friendly and inquisitive. They're related to the Peacock jumping spider of Australasia, too.

Tiny newly hatched golden orb spiders, probably Nephila insignis, in my garden.

This little Jumping Spider (Phidippus audax) started posing for the camera, jumping back and forth between the succulent pedals and then disappeared. I quickly realized he had jumped onto the lens. I assume that he was going after his reflection :p.
