Beautiful lines and grace.

Thanks, Lester. Photographers often play favoritism with the male because of the "red badge" that looks cool, but I find that females have a more nuance to their wing coloration during the breeding period.

I referred to this as a Common Tern originally, but believe it to be a Caspian Tern now. Any input would be great. I showed the picture to a local birder and they thought it was a Caspian because of the black feet.

I haven't used A9 since I got A7RIV a few months ago. I used it again today to shoot swallows. I am reminded again how much joy it is to use the A9 for BIF :)

When you shoot BIF at 1200mm, it is pretty easy to cut off part of the bird outside the frame. Too bad it has to be this frame, where I got nice details on the bird :)

I hear ya Shalu. This is a nice shot. But if you had got the whole wing in the frame, it would have been an amazing shot.:-)

Thank you very much, Mike. Do you know whether that's a female Red-winged Blackbird or a juvenile male? When I took the photo, I thought it was that of a female but someone brought to my attention that it may be a juvenile male.
