Very nice pose and photo taken under duress ;-)a
You could clone out those three brighter green leaves at left and replace with the darker background.
That may help get more the result you were after.
I admire your perseverance.

Man, I'm attempting to PS them out, and it's not working out too well haha Will keep working on it, but my hope is I get some better light and the Blackpoll is still here, and I get lucky.

Here's another couple from today:

Theresa & I had a great hour or so with some Painted Buntings yesterday AM. I'm pretty sure we are getting towards the end of their colorful cheer for this spring season, as they head north.

Say hi to Denis for us when ya'll get there! :)

Same male, but Theresa had her TC on and was shooting from the backseat - directly me.

My backyard isn't all that spectacular.. in fact, it's annoying to shoot here because it never fails that there's a million people lallygagging about on the tennis court or playground, their hooting and hollering isn't exactly conducive to flighty birds. Yet, I'm shocked by the visitors I've had these past few weeks! (Magnolia, Cape May (m & f), Blackpoll).

That fir tree dead center is where all the action is these days, and I'm taking the photo while leaning against my house.

Remarkable birds, man what I wouldn't give to have one visit me here on its way to Denis!

You've done a fine job of disguising things in your recent backyard shots. Looks like you can wander right out into the woods!

Still envious of your guests. :)

Things are different today, than yesterday. Same area as the buntings yesterday.

Just another opportunity.

A guy's still gotta eat, right?

Oooooh that rain shot is killer, Phil. Great contrast against nice background blur.

Behind the courts, that’s the Barred Owl woods, there’s 3 or 4 living in there now.

Since I posted up that backyard photo, another new visitor: female Black-throated Blue Warbler. Still working on a presentable photo :)

Just started using this combo - loving the weight and performance. Couple of recent pics during the warbler migration - these little birds don't stay still very long.

Congrats & welcome to the Darkside, Roger! ;)

Your Flickr page indicates you've been busy with the rig.

I remember admiring your work with the the RX10IV. I never could get anywhere near the results you did with it. Can't wait to see what happens when you really get comfy with this setup.

A hearty welcome to our little neck of the POTN woods, Roger! Nice way to make an entrance, too! Magnolias are extremely jittery and tough to get clear shots of, hat tip to your skills in capturing this guy!

You're in Ohio, anywhere near the legendary Magee Marsh? You basically live in Warbler Alley :-)

Thanks Phil. I can pretty much guarantee you that right about the time I "really get comfy with this setup" is when I'll be trading it for something else  :p:-D.
