Just wanted to escape the house today, so found a nice cool spot under some trees by the tracks...

Not sure if I have posted this one before, however here goes.
It was another photo charter deep in the wilds of the North Yorkshire Moors in 2016.

It does look like the train has a conductor and brakeman in the caboose!?!?!

My father was a conductor for New York Central.......

I also have NYCS lanterns my father had, I have his railroad keys, and for a short while my father was a conductor on NYCS passenger trains; I have his Passenger Train Uniform!

His main job was a freight conductor, or the boss on freight trains riding a caboose. I was able to ride a caboose with him one time back in the 60's as a teenager!

Nick's father worked the freights as well, I'm gonna say late 40's to the 50's & 60's.
Nick's name [no pun] is Nicholas Apollo. I believe that he is a jr.

Oh how I miss seeing the cabooses on trains anymore.........they do not seem like a complete train without them. :cry:
