No matter how many pictures I take I still can't believe how photogenic these little guys are. This little guy is about 1/5 the size as the other guy I posted. They can be a hand full, all bets all off once you take them out of the enclosure. I built a simple "studio" just for the jumpers & it's worked out well.

I went out this morning to catch a jumper just to have a different model. Brought him in, photographed him for 10 minutes then let him go. Ok, I photographed him for a minute & spent the other 9 chasing him around my kitchen. Only 1 usable shot, missed eye focus by a little. The pollen is from the dandelion I had brought inside to photograph him/her on.

Not sure of official name but the front legs seem huge. I think this is one sign that it is a female. I guessing someone here will know.

I had another "catch & release". Another small critter, I believe this is the zebra version. Heavy crop so not the sharpest.

Wow fabulous photos! I was wondering if we get such interesting spiders in the UK as I have only seen really tiny ones in my hedge. So it is reassuring to see you are seeing these in Plymouth. I am also in Devon so I will keep my eyes peeled for bigger spiders.

Another in the "catch & release" series. Very tiny. It has been said by people that have had these as pets for a long time that the each had their own personality. I don't know about that but they each do act differently. Some come to me, some run from me, & then others just seem to hang out & check out the flower I put it on.

I really do need a second light source & boy, would a modeling light help. The new flash I ordered will solve both issues.

Heavy crop. I missed eye focus.

This guy was in the garden, I scooped him up onto a leaf of my rosebush. I can walk around my house & see at least 1 jumper 9 out of 10 times. Most of them a very tiny, not as grown as this guy.

This one looks very different from the others in my neighborhood. Hoping for some help with ID. Little red hairs and iridescent all over it's back & top of it's head. I've only seen this on it's "fangs".
