Thanks Mike, I added a lot of vibrancy as well as cropping, because Siskin are such vibrant little birds and I just wanted to show off all that colour.

At a guess, maybe 5 or 6 metres away, (15-20 feet) and just the bare flash - a Canon Speedlite 600 EX RT as the bird was in deep shade under the canopy of trees.
