That is a scene that looks somewhat familiar from different cowboy shows from years ago.

Great capture!!

Thanks PR. Do you originate from the UK? I‘ve travelled this road in all seasons, autumn is probably prettiest and it leads to a local high point overlooking London at 27 miles away to the North. Looking South across the South Downs you can see across the River Medway valley and to a distance of about 40 miles. Here’s a picture.
Landscape from top at Holly Hill. I expect the view will unfortunately be transformed into a mega housing estate in the next decade.

Thank you for extra information on that road.

No, I was just making a statement about what looked like a very peaceful and beautiful drive.

Born and reared on a farm and ranch in eastern NM. Lots different from that! :)

Lovely pano of the area.

Part of the Fosse Way, an ancient Roman road that runs from Exeter to Leicester, 230 miles. This startch is between Luckington and Hullavington. It's a quiet stretch and even there are slight variations it's hardly necessary to move the steering wheel for a couple of mile.

Cannery Row
Monterey, CA
The street used to be called "Ocean View Ave" but was changed to honor John Steinbeck's novel "Cannery Row"
They used to can sardines until the fish ran out.

Doesn't look like there's much of a view of the ocean any more either.

Sad that we just plunder a resource until it runs out, with no thought or planning for the future. Sad for the species and sad for the people in the industry.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
