WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 717 - Backyard Photography

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Backyard Photography. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.


Let's do something close to home.. Show us some Backyard Photography

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Tuesday, after the new theme is posted and the following Monday by sunset (Whenever that is for you). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

** I wanted to add that "Backyard" is not to be taken literally, especially if you don't have a Backyard..
I should have said .. "Close to Home"
I realized that not everyone has a Backyard and that some might consider a local park as their Backyard.
Some might consider other public places as their Backyard..

So don't take Backyard too seriously

A good addition, joayne. I wondered how people in apartments would interpret the topic. Then there are the lucky rural ones who measure their backyards in acres.

OhLook -
In my brain, I considered "Backyard" a place where you feel comfortable.
I consider Bolsa Chica Wetlands part of my backyard and it is 120 miles away

Out in front rather than the backyard: we had a massive thunderstorm just now with a few small hailstones mixed in.

What a yard that must be! The critters that visit mine are quite a bit smaller.

I had almost given up hope that our backyard neighbors would visit this week but they finally came by this morning to say Hey.

Great "Backyards" everyone

... And that what I'm talking about!

"Backyard" for many people in the city, the place to go when you need to escape the sweltering heat of summer. Well, probably need to wait a while, now

Downtown Providence, Rhode Island, is pretty much my backyard. Early mornings are the best when there is hardly anyone on the streets.
