Thank you very much, Mike! The nest is about 140 feet away. It is about eye level when shooting from the bridge. Here is a photo of the nest from the bridge taken with my phone.

Wow, that really puts your photography into sharper perspective (pun intended). Astonishing!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Thank you for the explanation, and the photo Shalu. What a perfect nest sight for photographing.

Yes, it is. If you look closely at the shadow of the bridge in that picture, you can see a bunch of guys with their lenses pointing at the nest on the left side. They had shorter lens so they stood at the closest point to the nest, less than 100 feet away, while I stood a bit further away from the nest but with the sun more directly behind me.

Yup, I see the shadows of the other photographers, Shalu. You certainly stood in the right spot. Your lighting was spot on.

Yes, I use Reikan FoCal with confidence up to about 200mm. Beyond 200mm is difficult primarily because of target acquisition issues, but not impossible.

What an awesome shot, Bill. Getting perfect exposure on the white egrets and the green foliage is no easy task. You nailed it.

This shot is truly an eye grabber, fotoi!! The colors of the bird and the water are simply gorgeous!!

A truly magnificent shot of this osprey and the wasp, Shalu. The sharpness and detail here is amazing, to say the least.

Fantastic family portrait shot, Shalu!! How in the world did you get so close to this nest? It looks like you are at eye level, right there with them!!

Thank you Mike!
