Beautiful shot, Jan.

Great portrait shot, Tom. Those guys are very high on my priority list. I've only got one in my life.

Very nice shot, SYS...the composition is geat!

Spectacular shot, Shalu. I have to laugh at the osprey's curiosity.

Thanks, Mike ~

First post in the longest time, here is a very cute New Zealand native, Zosterops lateralis the silvereye, or Tauhou, as it is referred to in Maori. It is a small bird, 13g, 12cm long. They are locally quite common, and tend to hang out in small flocks. Here it is feeding on an aloe native to Africa, in Wellington, New Zealand. Enjoy!
The numbers: 6Dmkii, 70-200f4L@200mm, ISO400, F5, 1/4000sec, -3EV.

A couple from this weekend: a Bush Stone Curlew (Burhinus grallarius) and one of the wild Rainbow Lorikeets (Trichoglossus moluccanus) that regularly visits our deck.
