This black and white image comes form a gloomy and overcast day in the Asturias on the northern coast of Spain, somewhere between Gueirua and Playa del Silencio.

Bummer, but the area will get a nicely deserved break from the masses of bi-peds. Nice images of those Bristol Cones. At least you could photo those before going through the gate. Actually, no, I drove to the road closure and then took my bike out of my car and rode up the rest of the way, whew. Keeps it quiet up there though.

joeseph "smells like turd" ![]() More info | Jul 27, 2020 04:40 | #145 Whitehills, Scotland. About a year ago when my Mum passed away, we decided that during an overseas trip that scattering her ashes at Whitehills was a good idea, given a lot of her ancestors were from around there & her Dad was born & raised in Buckie (quite near) On arrival at said spot, we decided that walking out to the waters edge on a pipeline to do the scattering, would be a sensible idea. Having worked that one out, I took a couple of shots (as you do) on the walk out. Next thing you know, the heavens opened up and torrential rain ensued. We took this as a sign that she was not best pleased about being scattered from a (what we later to discover, was a ) sewage pipeline... Quickly reconsidering the location, the scattering took place at the harbour entrance. Probably not my best landscape, but definitely memorable! some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
