What was replaced on the 85? Got photos of it?

Hello,

The original black plastic outer sheath that goes around the backside of the lens is what was replaced.

Here are a couple of picutres of the original. https://imgur.com/a/u7​6oTDM you can see from the photos that there's all kinds of stuff stuck to the rubberized plastic. That's because the plastic itself is starting to break down and is super sticky. The replacement part is an exact replica that took about 90 seconds to install. Let me know if you have any more questions.

How much did it cost to replace the plastic outer sheath ? and how much ,where to buy it ?

Search eBay for “canon 85mm main housing” you will find many of the replacement parts for about $65.00. The parts are an exact replica of the OEM part. It’s super simple to replace the part yourself. I think it’s only held in place by 5 screws. It took about 5 min to replace the part. Hope this helps!
