Would they be better as composites with a balanced foreground or left as-is? I think viewers have gotten used to HDR landscapes and foreground in silhoette is seen as amateur. Thoughts? 1. ![]() Hosted photo: posted by aezoss in ./showthread.php?p=19085388&i=i7414605 forum: Nature & Landscapes 2. ![]() Hosted photo: posted by aezoss in ./showthread.php?p=19085388&i=i245731694 forum: Nature & Landscapes Nice shots! IMHO, both are nice as is, I absolutely love the 2nd one. Both images invoked an emotion in me the minute I saw them, they reminded me of the sunsets at my grandfathers ranch up north years ago. How they "look" is rather subjective, show it to 20 people and you will probably get 20 differing opinions. Michael

Do you want to draw attention to the amazing sunset, or bring in the trees and possibly take away from it. I am sure you could get some great variations of these images by compositing or adjusting them, but then you'd get other opinions on how they look. Sometimes less is more... Thanks, appreciate the comment. You're right about differing opinions. The one thing I've learned is that I have no idea what others like.
