Very nice captures !

What do you-all think of these canopies (or whatever their official names are) ?

Obviously, I fully understand that this is just the ongoing evolution of racing in the drive (no pun intended) for safety. And that it's a bit controversial, even among drivers (just as in F1).

But aesthetically: For me, the first time I saw them on the track I hated the look of the cars this way, especially in the sense that Indy cars have always been about open-cockpit, open-wheel driving, just like F1. But after even the second race, I was kind of used to it. Similar with the "halos" in the F1 cars now, my brain just stopped fighting it and was OK with the look.

Other opinions ?

I still can't quit resolve the look on the F1s. Im sure eventually I'l like them ok... or at least accept them. Why not just jump to a closed cockpit then?

I understand the reasons behind it, but I really didn't like them at first, now they just seem natural. I was surprised that you can still see the drivers helmets and hands.

Okay, it has a "motor" (engine more correct) so hopefully this old pic fits in here!
