You shouldn't need a lightning trigger or have to worry about light pollution when capturing lightning at night. Just to a long exposure.

I was up on Power Rd before it turns into Bush Hwy. It's a nice spot to just pull over....despite the no parking signs they keep putting everywhere. I'll happily take a ticket to get my photo.

Just recently started using my Canon MR-14 EX II Ring Lite. Hadn't really bothered with it until prompted by a member here. Not an easy technique, to be honest, but I'm getting used to it and can see the benefits rather than using available light, which I had been doing.
