Single frame from the short timelapse I messed around with while waiting for Comet Neowise to come out of the clouds.

A couple of weeks ago -no moon, no clouds and no mosquitoes.
A single exposure with the 6D and Samyang 24mm f1.4.

One of my early attempts at astrophotography and learning how to edit them. I think the editing could be better of course, just new to it so I'm not sure what could really be done with the raw image. There is a lot of light pollution coming from that direction but it's about an hour away from the city.

First attempt. What causes the halo around the trees? Is is from the backlight over the horizon, and any recommendations on how to deal with it? Processed in Nik, so could be an issue with the control point mapping. Thanks!

Looks like a PP issue (that’s how halos normally appear). Were you aggressive with the highlight and shadow sliders in lightroom?

Yeah, I'm sure of it (although I use On1 and Nik). It's still a little crunchy, but here's a redo. Thanks!

Take a look at this, looks like too much clarity was applied.
