Would be a great addition to the Looking at Me thread in wildlife!

I thought they didn't like birds over there, but I took a look through the thread and it seemed safe;-)a.

Family portrait ;)

On vacation in Maine in Little Sebago Lake

Common Merganser. This photo shows about half of the crew that was moving along the shore edges. I got one photo with one that made a bass catch, but it missed focus...

Red-winged Blackbird

Agree on other comment re the settings of these.
This is beautiful. The muted natural background sets off the blackbird so beautifully.

Uh-oh, it looks as though they are not speaking to one another. They must have had a little tiff.
Another splendid shot of these two, Richard!!

Many thanks Mike for your kind comments.

Ha! Not sure about the tiff. :-P
They were rather amorous couple.
See if I can find the proof

Ipad working well for you? You still maintaining your presence here which is good.

Dear Board,

Working from home since early March, I've seen so many neat things happen in my backyard that probably happened before but were missed while I stared at the walls in my cubicle at the office.

This year I've been able to see Red-Bellied and Pileated Woodpeckers bring their fledglings around to feed in our yard. Both pairs of young woodpeckers have progressed from sitting on the pine stump and having Mom or Dad fly suet out to them to coming in on their own and getting to explore. It's been a real joy to watch them, what with all that is going on in the world.

Here are a few shots I grabbed yesterday when Dad brought one of the girls around to feed and explore. He bought both of them today, but unfortunately I was at the kitchen window drinking coffee and had to be content with watching the two young female Pileated woodpeckers play peek-a-boo with each other on the stump.

Regards,

Tim Murphy

Harrisburg, PA :-)

Yes, thanks to my wife letting me use hers. My new computer is supposed to be installed, and all set up this coming Saturday. I'll be surprised if everything goes smoothly, though.
