I took this shot of the Moon at 8:13 this evening. It was 95° outside at the time. I'm surprised it turned out this sharp.

Bulldawg534,

You did an absolute phenomenal job shooting the moon with the 70-300 lens and your new 90D!!!!

That photo is KILLER SHARP! Very crystal clear indeed!!

What do you think of the 90D now? I remember just yesterday you said this: ;-)a

I have since upgraded to the 90D so I am excited to see what it can do.

Out on my walkercise around 7pm sun just dipped below horizon, took this of the moon with my phone. Yesterday 01st Aug.

Back home around 7:45pm Got the camera out and shot these. So I tried something different. Used the camera in built HDR function. It blends 3 images and processes them in camera. This below image just cropped only.

And this second is the same above image enlarged 2X using topaz gigapixel.

Yes Charles, that program sharpens the image I believe when it enlarges. It does of course help if it has a good image to start with. ;-)a

Shot last night, this almost full Moon was shot with my Sony a7rIV + FE 200-600 lens + 2x extender. Apparently, I bumped the zoom ring and wound up with a focal length of 1176mm. In PS CC 2020, I cropped in and enlarged to 200% using the "Preserve Details 2." preset.

That’s a great image Gene.

Thanks very much. lIke the last Moon shot I took, it was a warm 80.6° at 9:41pm when I took this shot so I was happily surprised that it wasn't blurred or distorted by heat waves.

NOTE: I just edited this shot to brighten it up a little.

Here's the Moon as imaged from Brisbane on 2nd August 2020.

Taken with a Tak 210 Mewlon F11.5 with a Reducer to give a focal length of 2080mm F10.

I used an ASI1600MM camera. I recorded 3000 frames, with best 1000 aligned and stacked in Autostakkert3!.

Cheers

Dennis
