Thanks Mike, these birds tend to circle the long plant and I had to take several shots in order to show their profile.:-)

Needless to say, I have tons of shots with the flower stem in focus, with the bird OOF or just showing the backside, or with the head behind the flower...:rolleyes:

Such is life as a wildlife warrior.:-)

Thank you, yes I really do love the water perspective.

This loon as well as one other, spent a good 10 minutes 5-10 feet from the kayak. Was really awesome
