Last weekend, I lost a lot of shots because I neglected to change my camera settings and it was turbulent that day so I got a lot motion blur. No camera would help with that.

So glad to read that this happens to someone else as well. I thought I was the only dumb guy... :)

I finally managed to get some flight in today, cloud cover never left but the camera did fairly well in the poor light conditions.

Every day my wife asks me so it Canon or Sony, which she did 5 minutes ago. I'm 95% Canon but with my decision is getting easier as the BIF's come in. From a personal standpoint I don't even care if eye focus is used for BIF. I have shot for 15 years without it. I'll take it if I get it but I think like any tool it has it's purposes.

Cute overload here lately (when I'm not pulling my hair out.) Both shots taken with the RF 70-200 2.8. Not in the database yet...

Amazing shots Mr. Rob. Love all your pictures sir. I was playing around on the beach with my R5 and 24-70 and able to track those birds with a short focal lens LOL

I visited my local camera store today and put a deposit on the R5 and the RF 100-500. They're guessing 4-6 weeks for the body and as much as 3 months for the lens. I have the R to EF adapters on order there as well as B&H. I think the R5 + 100-500 is going to be a great combination.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

You sure it's worth the wait?

(Because I've got the EF adapter, battery grip, extra battery. But still no body. :-P:-P)

How complex were the backgrounds behind the birds, and how lost were the birds in the frame?

That one is extremely difficult to catch, even perched. And you have got it flying...
What should I say...
