Unbelievable!

Almost a 100% crop of a group of deer I saw this evening. Also had some good shadows coming off the hills. Both using the Canon EF 70-300mm f4-5.6L IS.

I decided to get another RF - EF adapter to make switching RF/EF lenses a bit easier. Unfortunately they were out of stock. Most likely a shortage due to the R5 and R6 releases. So I bought a Meike instead for $56. It does have the rubber gasket. Playing around with it last night showed everything functioned the same as the OEM version. There was no play with the EF 24-105L II. Will try other lenses later.

Tossed the 100mm f/2.8L on this morning to take as shot of this little spider. Body is about the size of a half used pencil eraser.

Sadly the white border kills the image, click on the glasses, it makes it less dark.

I have a file question . . .

My 5DII saves files in the CR2 file format. Windows' File Explorer will show thumbnails of the CR2 file format, but will not show thumbnails of the CR3 file format.

Is there something I can do in order to see thumbnails of my CR3 files in File Explorer? Or do I have to just wait for Microsoft to change, and an update to flow from them?

You need to install Microsoft's Raw Image Extension:

d to know about the gasket. I would have gotten one if I had known but I got a Viltrox which does not have a gasket.

Its funny, I got the look I wanted with the deep blacks. In lightroom it looked awesome, once I checked it with a white back ground I was surprised how much it changed the look. I have to find a very dark matt to frame this one with.

Sunny Sunday. Even though i took it on Saturday.

Hopefully you guys aren't getting sick of me already. I've been enjoying my R a lot so far. I took these yesterday. Oh and I really like the RF 24-105mm F4 L lens. Such a great performer.
