I've lost track of the hours I work since I'm at home but it's a lot. Def 60+ hours but since I'm salaried, no OT pay.

Usually it works out since there is more flex time, but when it gets busy it works against you for sure.

no concept of time .... salaried as well but took a 20k pay cut this year .... no complaints I'm working with benefits.... but between zoom meetings and covid action planning I am working longer and more frustrated then before.

Here 40 is considered standard full time. Minimum to be included on insurance plans is like 32. I used to work 20-25 hours of OT at 1.5x pay...but COVID has cut me to 40 and if work continues to fall off I will have to cut to 32.

Sorry to hear about your hours being cut! 20 hours OT is insane, I’d die haha. Thankfully my industry wasn’t too affected by Covid and we are already inundated with work so they can’t really cut our hours.

Wow way too much. At my work we all complain if we have to stay back like 5 mins unpaid let alone that much haha.

Yeah it's crazy to go that long without paid OT... At my work we get OT for every 15-min tranche, though whether or not you get any wildly depends on your specific area. Me, I'm still nine-to-fiving.

That’s one thing that makes me reluctant to move overseas, the work life balance here is really good!

Would you be able to give me more details on that second option? I don't know that I have a capture card. The money isn't the object, it's that I won't go out (and cannot really anyway) and buy something for Fuji technical support. Is there a way to output to a laptop/computer with some free software?

something like this: https://www.amazon.com …vTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== (external link)

you'll need a hdmi to micro cable (or mini unsure what fuji uses).

once plugged into the computer, it treats your camera like a webcam, and depending on features, it can output a clean feed or feed with menu items.

download OBS software to do a screen recording. https://obsproject.com/ (external link)

what I'm unsure of is what it's mirroring, the EVF or LCD.

Not Gaab level but I gave it my best.
We took the campervan up a gnarly road in the Bridger-Teton Nat. Forest and camped on a knoll with a killer
view of the Grand Tetons. The Nat. Forest abuts the Nat. Park and camping was free/boondocking/dispersed.
We weren't the only ones who had found the spot either.

Ah, yes. Ordered one to be able to use my a7 III as a webcam. Not sure what it mirrors either. When I used the X-T200 as a webcam with the USB cable it didn't seem to mirror the EVF, at least I don't think I'd seen that issue when doing so.

Anyway at this I've already put the lens in the post and the camera is going tomorrow evening - no time for a delivery like that, especially if I'm doing it for Fuji Canada.

I finally had a email off Sony Europe about the issues I and many A7Riv owners have when using the Sony 200-600mm lens, they suggested I upload the new firmware update (1.20) and see what happens though they said the update was not meant to rectify any 200-600 issues (but it could), anyway I did the firmware update and guess what...IT WORKS!!! No more hunting back and to, it now works perfectly. I had two vultures overhead just now at quite a height and against a bright blue sky and the lens and camera worked perfect. This would not of been possible before. Thank you Sony.

Good to know, thanks. I'm still on v 1.0 so it looks like I need to update the firmware to v 1.2. Now where did I put that USB cable? ;-)a

Episode 17 is online now, a quiet walk in the woods. This week is more about the place and the solitude of hiking it on my own...it is a little different, I would be keen to hear what you think. I really enjoyed making this one and like the short film feel to it more than a vlog or tutorial.

I'll be 67 in January so any semblance of tent camping is out. And then there is my wife. This TT, Grand Design Transcend 221RB is 26'10" hitch to back of the bumper. Considered a couples trailer. I'm pulling with a Nissan Titan Pro4X, 5.6 V8 with an onboard trailer brake system. Weight of loaded trailer is less than 80% of Max weight of the truck.

We are leaving in a couple of hours for the maiden trip. Nearby state park on a lake for the first outing.

Work Life Balance in US suxx compared to lot of other developed countries. I am WFH from last 6 months and it will continue for 1 more yr. It is one of the best if not the best company to work in US with lot of benefits. But do end up working more when at home. And now I need to worry about kids schooling, fix their meals and all other covid-19 related stuff. Hope we go back to the normal times.

Sounds like a great combo and at age 75, I can totally relate to your desired/required comfort level.

Interestingly, my MH was only 23' in length. My Jeep CJ5 was 11' 9". If I include the tow bar which was probably about 3' long, the total length of the two vehicles was approx. 37 ft, give or take. I got 10mph when driving the MH itself, and 9.5 when towing the Jeep. :-)

Have a safe and enjoyable maiden trip and be sure to take lots of photos. :-)

This was great Travis. Again you did great job capturing what photography is really about, and that's opening your minds eye, appreciating what's right out there in front of you, and capturing it in the camera. ....that's what its all about. We don't have a lot of wooded areas out here unless you like swamps, but you captured what it feels like when I go on city walks (haven't done it in a long while) and just lose myself in my surroundings. I found it therapeutic when I was going through life stuff.

I don't think I've ever seen a vlogger do that process justice. It's a cool approach to a photo video...basically showing the process of looking/listening/feeling to capture great photos. I think too many people focus on the technical process and the gear and lose sight of the creative process of sensing.

I know this wasn't the intent of this video, but I think it'd be nice to see a similar video with less talking, but more video of you going through the motions of taking a photo. Teaching through showing instead of telling and still capturing the overall creative process.
