At first they wanted to know how I turned on the blurry background mode on Google Hangouts. Amateurs. Now my coworkers keep telling me I have a nice camera. Never mind the fact that I positioned myself optimally in front of a window to make best use of the lighting. I'm a little insulted. ![]() I am going all out for my big meeting next week...using the A7III, my light kit that I use for my YT videos and also my desktop mic...LOL...my boss notices, but I am sure no one else will. mystik610 wrote in post #19112766 Man we should do one! I would be up for that...I have two friends in CA that we do that once a month now, just to keep in touch and keep tabs on each other. Website

TRhoads Cream of the Crop More info | Aug 22, 2020 19:55 | #42829 I got out today with my dad and finally shot two waterfalls that have eluded me. My first attempt I could not cross the creek in my low sports car so I started to hike up the fire road but got too tired about 1/8 of a mile from the trailhead and I turned around...I didn't know how close I was...the second try it was too busy and no where to park. Today we got there right at sunrise and we made the walk in by ourselves. Had a good day. Image hosted by forum (1060076) © TRhoads [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. My paddle definitely needs to be on a leash and I strap my kayak cart to the stern of the boat, but that’s it. Everything elsefloats and can just bob around in the water while I collect myself. That’s just fine - even fun - for lakes here in the hot southern US. If I were in Scotland the fear of falling in one of your ice-cold lakes would be paralyzing for me! After spending a day mulling it over I’m going to go ahead and stick it out with my kayak until after we get past this pandemic. I guess Covid has made everyone go mad with kayak-fever because almost nothing is in stock and manufacurers are struggling to meet the intense demand. Anyway, that means I think I’m going to get that Sony ZV1 that Gene recomended. Should be a really fun and really easy point and shoot for both kayaking and biking. You know some paddlers have been found dead with a paddle leash around their necks...usually in water more confused than what I'd expect in your area..just making you aware. I know if I were ever to use a leash I'd have a paddling knife on my pfd. flickr

Oh, this is my oldest daughter in the front yard after 2 hours of demo/instruction- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkL8tVh8ls4 Excellent point. A knife is a must safety gear. How do you handle your paddle - just hang on to it? David | Flickr

I spin around in mine and let my feet dangle in the water up to my calves. More stable then you think (or I would have thought when I purchased). How are you inflating? Did you get their pump? We love it and have a 12v outlet in the back of the camper that makes it convenient. Yep I just hold the paddle. Now the whitewater gurus have another argument with tethers. Maybe Cory will chime on this. But for me whitewater would be the last place I'd use a teather. On stability just make sure you're getting the 10psi they want. Get in some shallow water and start leaning hard. Go ahead and tip over. Learn how far you can push it. The hand pump is getting old real fast. David | Flickr
