One of our fav places to venture to. We've gone yearly for 10 years. Always a different season or month. Where are you camping? We gravitate to Air Park mostly but last time camped on the south side closer to where our Osprey guide could pick us up. Catfish dinner at Boyette's rules!

I am tent camping at the State Park. I got the camp site right on the water on the west end of the campground...

I am going to Reelfoot Lake up in TN later this month for two nights of camping and 2+ days of photography solo...Reelfoot is lined with Cypress Trees. So I am gonna be a happy camper. The filters will be used a lot...LE will be the main theme.

Love the subdued pastel colours here Travis. Just realised the trees are in the water when I looked again just now (at least I think they are?). Really nicely done

Thank you sir, soft colors of sunrise. Yepz they are Cypress Trees and are out in the water. The water is less than waist deep out there. Big alligators though...

Love the moraine field on the left...I think I see a marmot peaking between rocks ;)

Thank you! I’ll have take a look. Good eye. They were quite a few living around the rocks.

It's been pretty limited this year in terms of locations for me personally so I have spent most of my summer trekking the woods. Looking forward to the autumn season to get a bit away from all the greens:-).

Every time I am at Costco I walk past these tomahawk steaks. Couldn't resist this time. Outside it is 105+ and smoky from the fires. So that means, cooking it in the oven first for the reverse sear. Hope it tastes good.

Shot with C1 in tethered mode. I finally bought a dumb Godox adapter that doesn't have power control so that I can put it in the camera hot shoe and still control power from my hand using the Pro model. For some reason, after one shot, my power resets back to the original. Not sure why.

Since I had the setup and the steak needed to rest after the sear, I was able to click 2-3 shots.

This was the best view of the twin alpine lakes up this steep path which leads to the upper lake. I was surprised to see wildflowers still around so late in the season.

Alligators at Reelfoot? Really? Tell me where I'd love to see one. We've been to Reelfoot at least 12 times and never seen one.

I was talking about Lake Moultrie where that image was shot...they have massive gators...I have not been to Reelfoot, yet, a couple weeks from now is my first visit. I hope there are no gators...my tent will be pitched feet from the water...

I have seen images coming from Rainier that still had good wild flowers, I think they were all late this year.
