Okay, so you were able to auto focus at f/10. That means the BH site's info is wrong.

Yes it did autoficus in Live View mode. It did "try" to autofocus in regular viewfinder mode but failed to focus correctly.

When I have time I will call the store I bought the TC from and ask them about this problem. I have not had that much free time today to do that.

I will keep you informed

I just went out and tried the Sigma 1.4TC. It would autofocus at f/7.1 and at f32 in both Live View and regular Viewfinder mode.

I again tried the 2.0 it would focus at f10 and f/32 in Live View but not in regular viewfinder. I need to call Norman Camera hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday if it does not work out tomorrow.

To me that seems strange.

Nothing's strange if the statement that I found in the BH site is correct:

"This model offers full communication between the lens and camera and will allows autofocus to operate at up to f/8."

Try at f/8 and see if the auto focus does work?

You have to remember with the 2.0TC attached the widest I can get is f/10 but only thru Live View

With the 1.4TC I was able to get f7.1 then it would focus thru the view finder.

I found these last night at 10:00PM EST in my neck of the woods.....

These are not the greatest but not bad for NOT having an actual telescope.

I also used my 2.0TC on these and they are cropped

I should have said WIDEST!

I knew what you meant.

If you have another chance to try it outside, see if the auto focus works at f/8 and narrower.

I just called Norman Camera about this. What they told me is the TC's are not meant to auto-focus so that is why it seems to try to focus. So what B&H is saying is in fact correct. To me it seems strange they do AF in Live View..... but I sure do LIKE that they do work in Live View!

Here is a composite of Jupiter with 3 of the moons all on the right hand side. The third one is a bit harder to see; it is on the far right just slightly lower than the other 2 moons.

I was hoping to try again tonight hoping for other options, and to try for a more in-focus Jupiter but tonight Indiana has clouds again.

I was out with the 7D2 and Siggy and autofocus was weird. I looked on my lens at the settings panel - I placed clear tape over it a few years ago so the settings would stay put but the tape had peeled back and it was no longer on AF but rather MO which if I recall is Manual Focus Override. Time for fresh tape ~

It should still focus fine. MO just means you can AF or MF without changing settings. Mine stays in MO 90% of the time and I very rarely use MF.
