Take a look at these ergonomic backpacks https://10luggage.com/best-ergonomic-backpack/ (external link). I like Leather Travel by Bopai and Soldierknife Backpack. They ahve enough space to out camera and laptops as well as some additional things.

I decided to go slightly bigger as the cost difference was a mere £10. I purchased the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW II.

The camera with lens fits snugly in the backpack, with plenty of room for other lenses.

Looks like you made a great choice. . I don't think anyone has ever regretted getting a pack that was a bit larger than they needed (unless they want to use if as an airline carry-on). . But many people regret getting a pack that is a wee bit too small.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Welcome to the board. I see your content to this thread is your 1st post!

Just a word of advice. When you look at a thread and have things to offer you should peruse the entire thread. It is obvious in reply #15 the OP has selected and purchased a bag which from the pictures posted, is a great fit for his/her need.

I know that this thread is a little old, but I wanted to chime in anyway. I tried the Flipside 300 AW II and it was a very tight fit for my 150-600 C attached to my 5D4 if I have the tripod collar attached and want to put anything else in the bag, so I returned it to B&H and got the Flipside 400 AW II and it is just what I need. The lens attached to the camera with the tripod collar attached fits along with my Tamron 24-70 G2 f/2.8, my Canon 100L f/2.8, two flashes and some miscellaneous stuff. The lens hood has to be reversed.

i wrap my gear in lens wraps and throw it in any backpack it'll fit in. my biggest bag can fit a sony a7r4 with 200-600mm attached, fuji 50r with the 32-64mm attached and 100-200mm. the 23mm can fit in the front pouch if needed and i could attach a tripod to the bottom or front of the bag with molle straps. but i mainly use that bag for transporting the gear in the car for long trips and break the gear down in to a smaller backpack for hikes.

I have learned one thing about back packs that aren't what you may call FULL SIZE. When a smaller pack is pulled up nice and snug and high on your shoulders it moves the waist strap too high above your waistline.

A year ago I wanted a smaller pack to force myself to carry less weight when I could get away with it. A smaller/narrow pack is also shorter. That's how I became aware of the waistline issue.

I have the same Flipside 400 AW, bought from WEX in 2016 for the same reason, to house my 150-600. It's a brilliant bag but I noticed something in your photo of it and in the photo of the 300 AW - the zippy bag. Did you folks purchase these separately? I've seen that in quite a lot of the photos over the years before I got mine. My 400 did not have that bag, it had a little fat cushion for the body to rest on but that was it apart from the dividers.

Mine came with the bag.

Not sure at the moment the model of my LowePro bag but it didn't come with the zippy but I later learned about them and bought one from B&H. See https://www.bhphotovideo.com …rup_pouch_mini.html/specs (external link) and note that there are two sizes.

LOL, my wife reminded me that I actually bought two, one for her when she goes horseback riding to carry phone etc.

That looks like a nice bag! I was going to say, I have a Flipside and my Sigma 150-600C can stay on my Canon in the bag but it's a tight fit, and no other lenses will go along with me...

Sorry I just realized that this was an older thread!!
