I caught the Growler from the side, but not near the wow factor of your photo! At Friday's practice.

I am having trouble garnering any enthusiasm for the "drive in" airshow format.

Does that mean - having to stay in your car taking pics through your windows - what happens about loo breaks?

I just spent last Saturday and Sunday at Skydrive 2020 in London Ontario.

It was a drive-in airshow where we parked in a 20'x25' spot that was your 'bubble' and your own space to for lawnchairs, small table, camera/tripod or even a cooler with food. Masks were required only when leaving your 'bubble' to go to the washrooms. Portable toilets were set up in zones with fulltime cleaners to make them as safe as possible.

They even arranged for Dominos pizza cars to drive around for contactless delivery / payment if you wanted ($10/medium pizza....not typical airshow food prices)

I was skeptical of the drive in format but the fact that you can exit the vehicle, sit outside (I brought a reclining lawn chair that I would never carry to a typical airshow), bring your own food and have ample room to take photos made it work for me.

They had different parking zone areas in various price ranges but there was not a bad parking spot with all the action in the air.

I'm not sure if other airshows are going to follow a similar format but I wouldn't hesitate to go if they follow London's lead.

That dont sound too bad - my kind of enjoyment if I had a car, I have done the one airshow in a similar way - off the field and one of the close by camp sites where they allowed cars used an old friends car.
