Thanks, as always Mike. Theresa & I had a wonderful visit to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center on Friday. It was out 2nd visit in as many weeks. It's a spectacular place. I'm still working images from our visit, so there will be more.

Interestingly, on our way home we stopped by a park where we have historically seen a number of Scissor-tailed FC's and Painted Buntings so we wanted to see if any (of either) had made their way back to our area yet. We did see a number of Scissortails, but it's the following that won the visit and I was thinking of you the whole time we were photographing this! ;-)a

As we rolled thru the park, I noticed a ruckus near the brush line along the road. I finally realize it was a Mockingbird bouncing around. Lol! After a minute or so, he finally lifted his meal into sight and began flopping it back & forth wildly and then finally got the part he wanted in his mouth and proceeded to pull it in.

It was just last week that we talked about finding interesting ways to photograph Mockingbirds and then I came across this.

This one's for you, Buddy!

Ha, ha, ha...Thanks Phil. Yep, we sure did discuss interesting ways to photograph mockingbirds. That must have been quite an entertaining ruckus to witness. I can see from the photo, he had himself a good size meal. It almost looks like a small snake because of what looks like an eye at the back end.

I'm not a snake guy, but I believe it was a grass snake. He did end up getting the whole ting down, but it took a while, and a LOT of effort.

Mike this is brilliant.
Beautiful colours, rich without being overdone, clear and detailed.
Love the composition.
This is one of the nicest I've seen of yours and right up with the best here.
I know there's not the camera makes a photo bit but this new gear performs extremely well for you.

Be sure to tell your wife that please. It may help vindicate the purchase price :p
Seriously though that is lovely.
