Please keep in mind all I had to work with was the jpg version. I made a duplicate layer and then opened that from Photoshop to the Camera Raw Filter. There, I used the eyedropper tool for white balance on the background but felt it could still use a bit more warmth so I increased temperature slightly. I also adjusted the white and black points as well as highlights and exposure.

Once saved back to Photoshop, I actually increased brightness a bit using a curves adjustment layer.

I hope you think this is an improvement as that was my intent.

Thanks. It does look more warmer on my MAC. Checked on my dell and it looks warmer too. I do need to calibrate my monitor.

I recently hiked up to some nearby mountains in Colorado at elevation 12,000 ft. Hiked in the dark for several miles to reach this spot in time to catch this beautiful sunrise.

I don't know how I missed this one Alfredo, beautiful light.

I believe pilots wear oxygen masks above 10,000 ft. Please be careful up there!

One more, I was editing and I have no idea which key I pressed (most probably back space) and the shot gets moved to the trash older and now I lost all my edits on it. Need to reach out to C1 support this week.

I had trouble at 8000 feet cant imagine hiking at 12

nice

Yep the elevation makes for difficult hiking. I’m starting to gain more endurance and really evaluating what I bring with me. My Batis 18 and Loxia 21 feel a bit lighter combined than the 16-35 GM so I opt for that combo. I also like my Fstop bag for these longer hikes because the way the bag sits on my hips helps a lot to disperse the weight. The shoulder straps on my MindShift bag are more comfortable.

Thank you Gene! I try to go slow and steady and watch for any symptoms.

Ok worked through the pics and feel a bit better. I had other things going on besides photos and that was a distractions and then was trying to do to much.

I still think I hate CPLs and need to get better with filters in general. I also dont think I like the Tamron 17-28 for Landscape. I think that just stretches it a bit far. I went through the Flickr Pages of the Tamron 17-28 vs the Sony 16-35 GM and perhaps by better photogs or what but looking at landscapes the Sony does appear to have more depth for landscape focus.

I did realize that my CV10 is a gem. As I look through the prints in my house and overall the pics I have taken with my 10 are actually some of my favorite even beyond my Lox 21 but the focal length just doesnt cover as much shooting at the Lox. For where I use it my keeper rate is very high. So with that why would I want to spend extra money on the 12-24. My Lox is insane for night shots and DOF I can count on it to be true to the scale. However it is very subject to flaring and the stars when on are great but sometimes I get double arms on the sunstars etc. I am not using the CV40 as much as I thought. I think I might be better served by the 10 / 16-35 / and a CV65 macro then the Tamron 70-180 and Sony 200-600 I am still confused as to what I am doing with the 100-400 but with the Galapagos next year I doubt I will sell it until after that.

Anyway some from my trip.

First is the Bridge in Zion. A7r4 and Lox 21. Why oh why I used the 7r4 for night vs my A9 not sure but I have a lot of hot pixels here so subject works and is ok for electronic but I wouldnt print this shot. FYI the cops do light you up and chase you off the bridge.

Some nice shots here, the middle ones with that glow. Like my previous comment, the lighting could be better but then I don't know if it was a family trip or solely for photography. Personally I am not a wide angle guy. To me it takes a lot more to use it properly. I have been thinking of 17-28mm but I don't shoot that wide often, I can count how many times I would need that but then I would need it to have TS-E feature too which most wide lenses don't. I have Fuji GF23mm f4. I wish it was faster but man, it kicks butt of lot of lenses that I have seen. No wonder Fuji is slow in coming with their GF glass. I test this Sigma 105mm f1.4 and in the end it looks like I will go back to GFX with their 110mm f2.:)

This was a photog trip, but also working on my friends Ansel Adams project trying to get shots for the promos he needs to get producers on board. So or focus on these locations was not pure for photography. He's lugging the 8x10 deardorf around lol.

I'm also not a big fan of crowded parks I would rather hot he backwoods of monuments vs national parks

I saw that guy in your flickr shots. I told the wife, after this shxx is over, I am buying a jeep or a 4-runner. At least it will get me some more access as being handicapped I can't go far on the trails.

A headshot from today using a single speedlight through a 24" softbox above and slightly in front. A white foamcore board was used for fill below on a table.

A BTS shot showing my setup. I hung a black cloth over a photo frame behind me and sat on a stool in front of the white board.

This is why I love the Backlight45...they changed the padding materials and it sits much better despite bing larger.

That’s good to know. Thanks Travis. I’m also looking at this one from Mammut.

During my recent hike, I found this small pond with a wonderful reflection. I almost missed it since I was more focused on the big lakes around the area. I lined up the grasses to match up with the peak. The changing color in the foliage was accentuated by the warm morning light.

Voigtlander 12mm (so glad I packed this one in my bag that day)

so this is going to sound odd...but does anyone else ever see their internet slow to a crawl or stop when LR is exporting a batch of files...when I export my Timelapse sequences...my internet speed drops and is unusable...when LR is done...its back. I usually export the big batch and go in the other room or do something else...tonight I was trying to watch the baseball game online while it exported.

Were you watching the game on the TV or the computer that is exporting the files. you need to work out where the problem is. in the computer or with your internet connection.
