This is a lovely shot, Richard. I like the bottle brush setting of this photo. We've had it at our house for years. It's a very pretty red color when in bloom.

A couple common visitors, during the dark, wet morning yesterday.

Very nice Phil! I especially like the shot of the jay. Neat pose.

Yes I had also noticed, hope all is well

According to 4matic (Neal), he's fine...just taking a little break from the forums.

Thank you Neal. I appreciate your getting in touch with him. I'm glad all is okay with Shalu.

I was wondering, too.

Thanks Mike. Yes those bushes come to life when flowering and attract another lot of beautiful birds after the nectar.

Beautiful images Phil.
Always enjoy seeing such in settings not conducive to photography.
You've bought those to life.

Fantastic pictures Richard, fantastic!
Are you near the grounded whales which are on our news?
P.S. - Your dad’s ornithology collection really did stand the test of time. :p :p :p

Thanks Ray, much appreciated.

200km from whales. Tragic!

Yes the old boy did well :p

Thank you.

That's a pretty exceptional framing and light there; very nicely done!

Thanks for the compliment. I knew the light was good, just needed the bird to show up. Thankfully it did.

Thank you very much, Dennis.
They are such tiny little birds, Dennis...hardly bigger than a hummingbird. These guys are in constant motion. I spent three hours this afternoon and evening, chasing them with my camera, and at the end of the day, I only had three keepers. It's very frustrating, but also rewarding when I finally get one.

Very nice shot, Mike! How is the adapted 100-400 working on R5, or is it actually the new 100-500 RF?
