An excellent photo.
Beautiful light and the vegetation from the trunks to the leaves really are spectacular.
I like the way you positioned the road.

This is one of the great roads in Scotland - the road down Glen Nevis. I could drive down this road every day and not get bored - it looks different every time.

This photo tells a story, for sure! The distant city lights tie in really nicely with the winding path of the headlights.

I'm curious as to how long of an exposure this was and how dark...????

Nice planning! Nice shot!

Thank you! We have had so many forest fires in the area, I wasn't sure I was going to even pick up city lights! I took a few 6stop filtered shots about 30 or so minutes before sunset, then I set up the intervalometer to shoot 15 or so 2min exposures. I think I ended up stopping about 45min after sunset. I then took the best of those exposures and blended them in PS switching the layers to Lighten. Then back to LR for some dodge/burn etc.

Excellent shot!! I totally agree with Intheswamp on everything he said.

I was also wondering how long the shutter was open and how dark it was!!!

Thanks for the info. You did a great job capturing the images and processing to this final version. That exposure seems to have worked out very well. Thanks for sharing the image!!!

You know, I've see a lot of headlight streak images and some really good ones. This one has gotta be the best or at the least one of the best of the bunch!
