rainbow lorikeet from today. As we are In isolation here and only allowed to travel within 5 k of home its not exactly good for a wide variety of birdlife especially if your inner city living like I am. Make a nice change to get something other than a lorikeet but regrettably they are the only things close by at moment!. At least their reds and oranges make me work hard in PP to get colors as close to real life as possible :)

I had a closer shot, but someone walked close to the bird, and after it flew off, said "Are you taking pictures? I'm sorry if I scared the bird away".

I'm with the others; I do NOT know how you so regularly find and capture the action, but you do it amazingly well.

Looks like a young, Muscovy Duck. They're a popular, domestic breed and frequent escapees

Many thanks Eric. Will look them up.

That's quite an undertaking for the tern. It's definitely a tasty meal and worth the effort. Outstanding shot, Shalu!!

Drooling Swans.

A study has revealed that male saliva undergoes dramatic changes during small talk with attractive young swans. It suggests they almost start drooling during the briefest of flirtations with members of the opposite sex. And the more they try to impress, the more their saliva gives them away.
