A gold finch feeding on thistles

I had a closer shot, but someone walked close to the bird, and after it flew off, said "Are you taking pictures? I'm sorry if I scared the bird away". :rolleyes:

Drooling Swans.

A study has revealed that male saliva undergoes dramatic changes during small talk with attractive young swans. It suggests they almost start drooling during the briefest of flirtations with members of the opposite sex. And the more they try to impress, the more their saliva gives them away.
