The Mandarin was almost certainly an unwise release, likely by someone that received it as a wedding gift. He attached right off to some bachelor Wood Ducks, though; so had some friends out there, at least.

These are two nice captures, Eric. I especially like the mandarin duck, which to me, is the most beautiful of all the waterfowl species.

Went on a hike with my dad a while back and brought my Canon 80D with 18-135mm lens. Got probably 20 feet away from em to get this shot, must be used to people haha
