Nice set Colin, hard to beat a damp sunny morning at the 'heath when they are using rwy 06.
...and they bank while departing. Then all is well in my world.

IIRC the air would stall at or within the intakes. thats what made the A-12/SR-71/YF-12 such a great plane... -im just trying. sometimes i succeed

unclejohn Goldmember More info | Oct 01, 2020 13:32 | #623 Sand Point, Alaska airport circa 1973. At that time it was served by Reeve Aleutian Airlines DC-3s, surplus bombers bought from the U.S. Air Force after WW2 and converted to passenger use. I was stuck there in a storm and had to wait for three days until this plane could land and take me out. I don't know anything. But I know other things.

Phoenixuk Goldmember More info | Oct 02, 2020 13:22 | #626 Well... getting a bit desperate now! This was taken with my iPhone whilst flying over RAF Fairford in the south of England. A US Air Force B52 sat at a dispersal point. On the same flight I was vectored to avoid a AN-124 taking off from RAF Brize Norton... just too far away to get a decent picture with the iPhone!
