Excellent photo of a very regal beauty.
Love the surrounding vegetation and straggly lichen (? assumed)
Very nicely captured Ed

Wow...she's gorgeous, he's a lucky chap!:-D Two excellent shots, Richard! The male looks like he's singing his heart out.

Thanks Mike for your generous comments.
They were in singing mode all round that morning.
Not sure what this one was doing! Dancing for joy? It was a beautiful day :-P

Thanks, Mike, that's a swing for my hummers....

Well, it's a good thing you made it strong enough to hold a heavier bird, like this goldfinch.:-P

this morning was one out of the box.
Clear, cool, overcast but brilliant light. The birds were out in force and the air was full of tunes and much flitting about.
But this one took me by surprise and landed on a gate about 6 feet away and entertained me and her suitor not far away

Due to Covid restrictions I'm still stuck at home, so can only shoot what visits my garden.
I don't know what was up with these two, as starlings normally fly in a big flock, eat the food scrapping like school kids then off, these just stood there for at least 40 mins.
