a Pine Siskin. a telling characteristic on these guys is that the beak comes to a pin point.

They nest and breed here in SFl so we get to see them as Juvies. They slowly turn blue and the in between stage is cool too! Here is one that is transitioning.

This one really drives home the contrast. Confusing when there are also white species in the same place!!
