I believe I only had 6 Stops on for this one. It was already just past sunset, which wasn't really a sunset at all. Thick heavy clouds. But the edit made it lighter. Final exposure was 2 minutes.

The mighty Godafoss waterfall in northern Iceland on a beautiful cold crisp morning. I liked the early morning glow just hitting the water flow and giving a lovely warm touch.

If you have a minute, could you tell us which ND strength was used? This is a great image IMHO. It almost looks like it's a HDR blend... I like it!

3 blended 30 Second Exposures...blending to remove people. I think it was 8 Stops, 6 and 2 stacked.

Realizing this inquiry is months late after your post (which is a very nice image), if you have a moment, I'm curious what software do you utilize when creating your blended images (HDR)?

It was a variable stop ND filter from K&F concepts (external link), on a 50-200mm Nikon lens. Purchased new on Ebay, on a glimmer of an idea that it would work good in the field. I had set it on approximately a 7 stop. For about 20 bucks U.S., I took a chance.

I use Luminar 4 as my processing program, and HDR is not included with the program.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. This proves that even without the best 'high end' gear, it's still possible to create and capture stunning images.

I use Photoshop for blending and it was not for dynamic range but to remove people since this spot was pretty busy.
