this male Superb Fairy Wren ran along the window sills from about 11 am until 7:30 pm
He tapped and danced his way around and up the windows. Occasionally he'd stop and sing to the heavens then resume the tapping and dancing.
At one time his lady accompanied him
He's been there again today for past 3 hours.

Great Blue Heron attempting to swallow Bullfrog

The bullfrog uses it's front legs to prevent the heron from swallowing him. The battle continues for quite some time, until finally.......

Wow! Great shot! Amazing how they can choke it down.

Thank you very much, fotoi. It was a lot of work choking it down. As soon as it was swallowed, the heron immediately took a nap.

His color is brilliant. Two beautiful shots, Richard! And to think, you didn't have to pay a penny to get that kind of great entertainment.

This is a great series Mike. Your images remind me of a cartoon poster I saw, ‘never give up, heron, frog’. Google that and your will see the funny side.

Camera gear all packed in the car ready for a few days away when this Red Kite came and sat in the tree watching me! Couldn't resist getting the camera back out again!

Many thanks Mike. Yes its free entertainment that was another all day event.
I snuck around the corner and had a peep at what the fuss was all about. I can see why he is so excited or whatever he is.
And does he make a mess - a line of white dots along the windowsill :p
