Hi Charles. I have trees to the front and back of my house where the Red Kites quite often sit and watch the goings on! I normally hear them first as they can be very noisy! My camera bags were the last thing to be packed in the car and for, I think the first time ever, I had put my camera with the 100-400 and the 1.4X converter in a separate bag so that it was ready to go. Since I've started photographing so many birds this has now become my standard set up instead of changing back to the 24-70mm all the time.
