*Great* shot!!!! I'm aching to get some lightning shots but our weather has been rather moist lately...plus recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Love the depth of the clouds, the star field, ocean reflection,...just great! The only thing that I'm undecided about are the distant lights on the shore...not sure if I like them or not. Whatever the case, a very nice shot!

I agree on the shore light, It is a 4 story condo building and I left it in for scale.

I'm not sure it helps with scale due to viewers not knowing what the light is...and least I couldn't really tell. Maybe a campsite?...maybe a distant town?...maybe a 4-story condo? The landscape itself gives a lot of scale by itself.

Agreed. It subtracts from the image/point of the image.

Storm season has started here in Brisbane, and we had a nice lightning display last night. Here are a couple of shots from my front deck (sheltering from the rain!)
