Wow! I have followed this thread on a weekly basis for a couple of years. It has usually had dozens of posts every week — sometimes over a hundred in a week. But this week there are just two posts! Have y’all sold your Mark IVs or just put them down for a while? This is a great camera but I guess mirrorless rules.

Haven't seen much of evidences that people are selling their IV's. I'm getting the R5 as soon as it becomes available, but I'm going to keep my IV.

We do not have optimal weather now, in addition, due to the coronavirus there are closed zoos, monuments, restaurants (so a problem with eating), etc. It is forbidden to meet more than 6 people, the government recommends staying at home. We planned to photograph interesting places with a group of 12 friends (seven of them own 5D4), but we had to postpone it .

I picked up a brand new one recently. $2499.99 No regrets either.
This model was very popular and has proven itself to be reliable in my opinion.
I'm just relaxing and reading the user manual and just waiting for the weather to improve.

A few macros with the venerable 5D Mk IV, plenty of life left in that body.:-)

Cheers

Having nothing pressing to do and wanting to get out for a few hours, I tracked down a small park in Beacon NY that I had read about -- Madam Brett Park -- along the banks of the Fishkill Creek. It is a small park, more linear than anything else. In one direction the white trail leads to a waterfall on the creek, pictured here. In the other direction is an abandoned hat factory and a white trail passes over a boardwalk and connects to Dennings Point Park along the Hudson River. The second photo is from an offshoot of the white trail (the red trail) where the creek meets the Hudson River.

You're in the woods by your favourite lake, it's dark, flat, wet, chilly, miserable. No birds, no insects, and the clocks go back an hour tonight. What is there to photograph? Ah, a fungus. That'll have to do. :-) No wonder someone commented that there have been fewer posts on here lately. It's a tough time of year photowise in the UK. Maybe tomorrow...
