HMS Gannet was a Royal Navy Doterel-class screw sloop-of-war launched on 31 August 1878. She became a training ship in the Thames in 1903, and was then lent as a training ship for boys in the Hamble from 1913. She was restored in 1987 and is now part of the UK's National Historic Fleet.

Very nice image, fotoi! Love the reflection of the boats windows on the water surface.

Sometimes I think living on a boat would be cool. But all the vessel traffic, noise, wake motion (especially on the Seine) would get old after a while.:-|

Thanks. Yes, the reflection on the water does add a little to the image. I'm with you about living on a boat, given all the negatives. But each situation is unique, say living on a barge in Amsterdam for example. That might be appealing for a while.
