Just joined and though I would say hello.
I'm and old fart who has some time to play now. Grandfather willed me an old Agrus that got me hooked decades ago. I'm here mostly to read and learn and ask questions. This is a hobby and will stay that way for me. I have destroyed other hobbies by making them "work".

In the arsenal of toys:

Panasonic ux90
Panasonic 3ccd P150
Nikon D800
Nikon D850
GoPro Hero 7
Ronin S Gimbal
Karma Gimbal
DJI Mavic 2 Pro
DJI Mavic Air 2
Mics and recorders
Cubase Pro
Wavelab Pro
Premiere Pro
After Effects
Photoshop
Sundry stands, braces, holders, and eieio's.

Looking forward to chatting!!!

Welcome!

I'm a Grand-Rapidian in the same state.
5DIV, 50D, and S3iS in my arsenal, along with several vintage lenses
ranging from 28mm to 500mm and native lenses to a Rokinon 14mm.

I maintained an annual membership to the Henry Ford Museum/
Greenfield Village while I lived in Metro Detroit; it was a great way
to invite other photographers to come together for a meet,
and for me to hone my skills & techniques.

Pleased to meet you! I'm going to be in your neck of the woods to video a wedding in Holland in December. Not a professional shoot at all, lol. Favor for a relative. Been watching youtube videos on how to. Similar to your experience at Henry Ford, it will be an opportunity to see what I can come up with and learn.

Interesting, to be sure.
I'm not into motion video, but if you have some time, look me up.
I'd be glad to meet with you.

There's an airport observation area which may interest you,
while we've got Meijer Gardens sculpture park and a few zoos lying around.
I may be able to get you to an abandoned house or two, also.

Understand: it'll certainly be cold at the time, so come prepared!

Wife and I got married at the Martha Mary Chapel at Greenfield Village. Way back in 1975.

Fantastic!
That venue had at least a two-year waiting-list, last I heard, so the venue is positively choked
with recent requests now.
It's a beautiful venue; I attended a January wedding many years ago to include candlelight
lighting and period food offerings. It was a lovely assemblage, and one I'll remember for life.
