If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Nicely done! That is a great area with a lot of opportunity.

Is that a preserve or are these wild sheep?

They are wild, but in a sheltered environment. The stretch of the canyon is part of the Denver water departments reservoir system. Its a relatively narrow canyon, wide enough for the river, a road, and not much else. Its closed to public traffic although there are a few cars that serve Strontia Spring reservoir approximately 8 miles up the canyon. Its open for hiking, biking, and the sheep have become acclimated to people. The sheep usually hang out up on the steep canyon walls, but will come down occasionally for a drink from the river. In the summer months you might not see them but in the fall when the rut approaches the Rams come down in search of the ewes who are often hang out at lower altitudes tending the young.

Its a unique opportunity to get close to these amazing animals.
