No, both the EOS R5 and EOS R6 write in the User Manual that flash photography is not possible in FB and I was using the MT26 Speedlite.

I tried to place the body of the spiders parallel to the plane of the sensor to get as much in focus as was possible. Both spiders were very cooperative.:-)

I have used the Helicon FB Tube (external link) for Focus Bracketing on the EOS R (not R5 or R6 yet) and can confirm that you can use Flash, as the FB is performed by the Helicon FB Tube and not the camera. The EOS R does not have built in FB.

Cheers

Dennis

I did a test shot and managed to get a 5 shot stack with my flash heads at 1/128. I've not tried it in the wild yet but I'm looking forward to it.

So renting the RF 28-70 f2 to see if it is up to everything people rave about. So far pretty impressive shot wide open @f2 on R5 just not sure this focal length is worth close to $3,000 for me more testing over the next week. Lucky our Finn is always willing to pose while I try out new gear :)

Finally, got my R5 on Monday and shot a 5th grade football championship on Tuesday! Interesting camera, I definitely need to tweak my initial settings. These files are HUGE! And yes, it was raining, but I love shooting in the rain!

Have you tried the RF 600 or the 800mm lenses Rob?

I have not tried them, from what I seen they are pretty good. F11 is tough when I usually shoot before or after work. Also you lose some of the AF focus area. However at the price point I think they are very nice focal lengths. The bluejay was even at f2.8 ;-)a.

I came across these chairs when I was out on a walk. It's a fair distance to the nearest car park so someone went to a lot of effort to create this meeting place.
